5 Signs That Show You Are Not Fulfilled By Your Work

One of the most soul-draining things we could to ourselves is to keep doing work that is unsatisfying and meaningless. The reasons for being complacent in a work situation range from being comfortable, to salary/wages, to convenience that you’re not ready to give up for something more satisfying.
Life doesn’t have to be that way and it shouldn’t.
If you’re on the fence about your work situation then here are “5 Signs That Show You Are Not Fulfilled By Your Work”…

1. You Feel Sick to Your Stomach Thinking About Your Work
You’d be surprised by how many people accept less and do something which conflicts with their happiness. Life should be a joyful thing that you wake up to (Especially since the next 8 hours takes up most of your day being awake and living life).
If you dread your day ahead then you must do either two things…
• Make the best of it by changing your attitude
• Move along and do something else
Most people can’t bear to stay in a place, much less see it in a different (More positive) light.
Answer? Get out now and find something better!

2. You Think to Yourself… “Ughh, Why Am I Here”?
Yes… it’s an obvious one! If you can’t see your purpose somewhere, then you won’t find fulfillment there. A change of scene is necessary in many cases.
However, if you work for a company/business/organization, then maybe applying for a different position is your answer. Sometimes it’s not the place but the position that is making you unhappy.

3. You Contemplate Quitting Everyday
If you’re just fed up with your work and have no desire to do it anymore, then you may be contemplating quitting all day, every day.
This is unhealthy because you are essentially trapped in your unhappiness and it will begin to show. If you work with others they will probably notice and you may not give your best anymore.
If this is the case… leave before you get fired! There’s something more fulfilling out there for you.

4. You Call Out Frequently
If you looked forward to your work, you wouldn’t want to avoid it as much as possible. It’s pretty sad when you detest the one thing that you spend most of the days doing.
Rather than wasting you and your employer’s time, find work that you look forward to and/or at least feel some sort of fulfillment doing.

5. You Feel Relieved At the Thought of Doing Something Else
If you feel a sense of relief from the thought of putting your time into something else, then you are most certainly not fulfilled doing your current work.
This is a big sign that there’s something out there waiting for you to put your hands on and start feeling connected.
It’s ok to quit something if you see no future for yourself and it’s recommended to follow your heart’s desires.
You Deserve to Feel Fulfilled By Your Work
We owe ourselves to joy and fulfillment on a daily basis. Make a choice to have your best interest in mind, while taking action for a better life. It’s the most worthwhile thing you can do for yourself.
Nobody should stay at a workplace and/or perform work because of a certain convenience that it provides. Fulfillment only comes from doing something that you can feel good about at any point in your life. If you’re stuck and don’t even realize it, then these “5 signs” can give you the confirmation you needed.
You don’t have to settle for less because you deserve more.
